Midlife SignalsPerimenopause, stress and performance in the workplace

Hot flushes, brain fog, disrupted sleep, mood shifts: these are messages from the brain and body, not character flaws or performance problems. Midlife change can be hormonal, it can be chronic stress, or it can be both. Organisations that mislabel one as the other, or fail to create space for the conversation at all, lose capable, experienced leaders they cannot easily replace. This session brings clinical rigour and genuine compassion to a topic that is still too often handled badly or not at all.

What your people will leave with

  • A clear map of hormonal change, chronic stress and where they interact, without oversimplification
  • How to notice body and emotion cues and make practical adjustments, without over-monitoring or stigma
  • Workplace supports that protect focus and steadiness: light, temperature, meeting cadence, recovery windows
  • Language for sensitive conversations that removes minimising and blame while keeping standards clear
  • Practical options for pacing and boundaries during higher-symptom periods, and team norms that support them
  • Clear signposting: when to involve a GP or Occupational Health, and how to document temporary adjustments

Beyond BiohacksWhat the evidence actually says about leader performance and wellbeing

The wellness industry is loud, expensive and largely unregulated. For leaders trying to perform in complex environments, the noise around optimisation, the devices, the protocols and the hacks can obscure the signals that matter most and that cost nothing to read. This session cuts through the noise with a clear, evidence-first framework.

What your people will leave with

  • How to read signals from brain, body and emotions and translate them into clear, immediate actions
  • A fast decision filter for wellbeing claims: evidence first, your real data second, hype last
  • Practical resets and recovery rituals that work this week, no devices required
  • A team wellbeing plan built on workload, recovery, boundaries and culture: what to start, stop and keep

Wellbeing for LeadersThe brain, body and emotion basics that actually move teams

A leader’s nervous system sets the tone in the room before they have said a word. Psychological safety is felt in the body, in the quality of attention, the steadiness of a voice, the way a room is held, long before it appears in any engagement survey. This session gives leaders the foundational science of brain, body and emotion regulation, and translates it into behaviours they can use under real pressure.

What your people will leave with

  • The ability to notice early warning signs in themselves (breath, posture, voice) and intervene before the situation escalates
  • Co-regulation skills: how to steady a room without fixing, rescuing or over-managing
  • De-escalation language that lowers threat and restores clarity
  • A meeting and one-to-one cadence that protects focus and allows recovery
  • Micro-rituals that prevent stress from bleeding across tasks and between people

Thriving in High-Stress EnvironmentsKeeping pressure productive across work and home

When firefighting becomes the culture, the nervous system never gets to stand down. Over time, chronic pressure stops being motivating and starts being corrosive, to decision-making, to relationships and to the physical health of the people carrying it. This session equips leaders with practical, evidence-based skills to keep pressure productive rather than destructive.

What your people will leave with

  • Fast, effective reset techniques for high-stakes moments that actually work in real time
  • Routines that reduce reactivity and lower the risk of costly errors under pressure
  • A personal plan for critical periods: rhythm, recovery, role clarity
  • Early warning signs of system overload and a clear framework for what to do next

Boundaries for LeadersInfluence without overfunctioning

Always-on availability, rescuing direct reports and consistently overstretching are not signs of exceptional leadership; they are performance leaks. They erode trust, create dependency and quietly deplete the leaders who can least afford to run low. This masterclass teaches leaders how to set clean, effective boundaries at work and at home, and how to flex them when pace increases, without losing warmth, credibility or results.

What your people will leave with

  • Boundary language that lands clearly and holds under pressure
  • Escalation frameworks and meeting norms that protect time and focus
  • A shift from rescuing to coaching, and the confidence to make it stick
  • How to model healthy limits in a way that raises team culture, not eyebrows

Ambition Without OverdriveSustainable high performance for leaders who want to stay sharp

Ambition is an asset. Overdrive is a liability. When high-performing leaders are operating from imposter fear, people-pleasing or the compulsion to constantly prove themselves, performance becomes fragile and anxiety becomes chronic. Drawing on performance psychology and clinical application, this session helps leaders reclaim their ambition as a healthy, sustainable force.

What your people will leave with

  • Practical tools to regulate the stress response without blunting performance
  • A goals framework built for healthy ambition: less proving, more presence
  • Awareness of over-delivery patterns and the psychological drivers behind them
  • Micro-habits for authority and influence that do not require being permanently switched on

Leading Without Burning OutManaging the invisible workload at work and at home

The invisible workload (the mental cataloguing, the evening email loops, the constant context-switching between leadership demands and home life) is one of the most significant and least addressed drivers of burnout in senior teams. It rarely shows up in appraisals, but it shows up in attrition, in absenteeism and in the erosion of the leaders organisations depend on most.

What your people will leave with

  • A clear system to reduce mental load across work and home life
  • Sustainable routines that protect sleep, energy and capacity
  • A grounded framework for “good enough” that still delivers on outcomes
  • Team norms that reduce after-hours pressure and protect recovery time

Returning with ConfidencePost-leave reintegration for leaders and their managers

Coming back after parental leave, extended sick leave or a sabbatical is rarely as straightforward as it looks. Beneath the professional surface, many returning leaders are navigating a significant identity shift, questioning their relevance, managing the urge to overperform and trying to rebuild confidence in a role that may have moved on without them. This masterclass gives returning leaders and their managers a clear, grounded roadmap for the critical first six to eight weeks.

What your people will leave with

  • A practical reintegration plan, built from day one and tailored to their context
  • Boundaries that protect capacity at home and at work, without guilt or performance anxiety
  • Strategies to reduce mental load and decision fatigue during the adjustment period
  • Managers equipped to support effectively, not inadvertently undermine
